On The Run Canine Center at 13835 Aberdeen Street NE in Ham Lake describes itself as a dog training and events facility operating "since November 2009," serving Ham Lake and surrounding communities. It hosts classes for all types of dogs, from pet manners to competition, and runs trials at the facility almost every weekend along with seminars led by visiting trainers.

Classes

Dozens of classes run each week. Puppy Kindergarten covers the basics for new pups, and Beginner Obedience serves both pet owners and those preparing for competition obedience. Dog agility runs from beginner to advanced skills, and K9 Scentwork teaches dogs to find a target odor on cue, for enrichment or competition. Competition obedience and conformation classes are also offered, and the center publishes a recommended class progression.

The team

Michael Teh is owner and instructor, and Michelle Schwartzbauer is instructor and founder, alongside facility assistant Janet Mabrey and a roster of more than a dozen instructors whom the center credits with decades of accomplishments across dog sports and breeds. The facility is also available to rent for trials and seminars.
