About Pasadena Humane

What they offer

Pasadena Humane is the local animal shelter and animal care organization, and it runs in-person training classes and workshops at its Behavior & Training Center on South Raymond Avenue, taught by professional trainers.

Classes

Puppy options include Puppy Pre-School, a drop-in Puppy Playschool socialization workshop, a five-week Puppy Manners course, a mini-course for pre-teen pups and adolescent workshops. Obedience classes for dogs six months and older start with Basics 101 and continue with Beyond Basics. For shy or reactive dogs there are courses such as Reactive Rovers, a five-week course for dogs that bark and lunge at other dogs on leash, and special skills classes are offered too.

Private help

Private training consultations and online coaching sessions address fearful behaviors, noise phobias, reactivity and separation-related problems. Classes use positive reinforcement.
