About PAWsome Puppy Academy of North Phoenix

What they offer

PAWsome Puppy Academy of North Phoenix runs outdoor classes at a private location near Thunderbird Road and 56th Street; the exact address is shared on booking. Classes include puppy socialization and agility, basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come and leash work, and a pool course that teaches dogs to swim to the steps and exit safely. Board and train stays set training goals for the dog while the owner is away.

What to bring

Classes need a six-foot leash, a working collar, treats and a treat pouch, and vaccine records and a signed waiver are required. Because classes are outdoors, dates can change.

Who trains

Kim Spelman started as a veterinary technician and moved into training through rescue work.
