About Prestige Dog Training

Balanced, full-spectrum training on North Laflin

Prestige Dog Training Academy describes itself as "dedicated to providing the highest level of certified, professional dog training services to Chicago and the surrounding suburbs," working from an address on N Laflin St. The site describes "a team of professional dog trainers" offering "full-spectrum dog training services with a balanced approach" and says the range runs "from one-on-one private lessons to hands-off full obedience packages."

Programs

Board and Train keeps the dog 2-4 weeks — "we do all of the training and then teach you how to utilize all the new things your dog has learned" — and the site names it as best for owners looking for less work required. Private training is one-on-one lessons where "you will learn skills and work with your dog from beginning to end," pitched at owners who want to be more involved. Group training covers specific skills in a class alongside other handlers. Dog day training is listed as a separate program, and the business also offers boarding and daycare.

The facility

The site says Prestige is partnered with Pet Care Plus, which it describes as "Chicago's longest-running, same-ownership dog boarding company since 1998," and lists amenities including an outdoor heated pool, multiple play yards and large suite-style kennels.

What they promise

Three commitments are published. On care: "Health and proper care is always our number one priority." On fit, an unusually concrete guarantee — "Every program isn't always a perfect fit for every dog, and that's okay! If you or your dog are not satisfied with the program, we always offer a program switch at no additional cost." On affordability, the site says it offers options "to make sure there is a program for every owner's budget," so ask about prices when you get in touch. The site also states it is trusted by NFL Chicago Bears' Danny Trevathan.
