We sent our Saint Bernard Apollo, who we adopted at the age of 2, to the 3 week board and train program with Eric. He had a lot of anxiety, very low confidence, could not do stairs at all, jump in the car, and (our fault by mistake) was very overweight. Apollo came home with not one of these issues. He has so much confidence, he pants WAY less (all things considered for the breed), he can do all of the stairs in our split level, and does so willingly now! My 4 kids ranging from 6-13 can walk him with their thumb through the leash.
We had tried to teach him commands in the 4 months we had him before training and he responded to non of them. He now responds to them. He is all around a whole new boy and seems to be a much happier one too! I cannot thank Eric and everyone else at Ridgeside enough for what they did for him.
The communication was also really really amazing. We were given daily updates that included pictures and videos.
Allie, our trainer, was amazing. She kept us updated the entire time, explained everything clearly, and answered every question we had without hesitation. You can tell she truly cares about the dogs and the owners she works with.
The facility itself is super clean, organized, and clearly well-run. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Overall, Ridgeside gave us an outstanding experience, and we couldn’t be happier with how our dog came home. I would highly recommend Ridgeside for dog training !!
