Rowdy Runs is a Kapaʻa dog training and exercise business on Kauai that specializes in canine obedience training for all breeds and sizes. Specialty canine handler and trainer John Caneda Jr offers private lessons, both on-site and mobile.

Courses

All courses are private one-hour weekly sessions. Puppy School is a six-week foundation course for puppies 10 weeks and older, or dogs up to 2 years old with no prior obedience training, covering collar and leash introduction, sit, stay, lie down, come, place and leave it, bite control and socialization, using treats for motivation. Pup Middle is a four-week follow-up that builds quicker responses to voice and hand signals with little to no treats. Back To Basics is a six-week course for dogs over a year old, covering leash obedience, structured walks on heel, foundational commands and handler skills. Behavior modification and specialty sessions are booked flexibly after a consultation, for topics such as reactivity, recall, biting and aggression.

Boarding

Through Rhiley Sleeps, the business also offers boarding in outdoor kennels ($75 a night) and indoor suites ($85 a night) on its fenced property.
