About San Diego Humane Society’s Behavior Center

What they offer

The San Diego Humane Society's Behavior Center on Gaines Street runs public group training classes with in-person and online options for dogs of all ages. Classes for puppies under 16 weeks include socialization; classes for older dogs focus on training rather than play.

Class policies

Dogs must be current on rabies and DHPP vaccines and in good health. The group classes are not meant for serious aggression or behavior problems, and dogs need to be comfortable focusing around people and animals in new spaces.

Behavior help

Owners unsure whether their dog will cope with a class can call the behavior team to find the class or service that best fits.
