A long-running Magic Valley kennel

Saragold Kennels runs its boarding kennel and office in Filer, with a separate training building on Main Ave E in Twin Falls for group classes and private lessons by appointment. The business says it was established in the mid-70's and was first known for producing British Golden Retrievers. It began offering cat and dog boarding in 1998 under Beverly Danvers, and in 2019 Brittany assumed ownership, keeping the name and expanding into a wide range of training. The trainer team named on the site is Brittany, Kailee Pothier and Sara Gaines.

Training programs

Board and train packages run from a two-week Puppy STARter ($840) and a two-week AKC Canine Good Citizen curriculum ($990) to a three-week Competitive and AKC Community Canine program ($1,200), four weeks of therapy dog training with Urban Canine certification ($1,680) and six to eight weeks of service dog public access training ($2,500 to $3,500). Private lessons are $70 on site or by video call and $150 off site in the Magic Valley, and cover aggression, public access and task training. Group classes are $200 each and include AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, House Manners, Beginner and Advanced Obedience, a therapy dog class, and sport classes such as rat hunt, agility, scent work and clicker communication. Temperament testing is also offered.
