About Spot for Dogs LLC

What they do

Spot for Dogs runs daycare, boarding and bathing at two locations, in Atlanta and Decatur, and publishes “Two personalized programs. One proven approach” for training. Play & Train combines a full day of supervised daycare and socialization with dedicated one-to-one training sessions built around the owner's goals, with skills reinforced across the whole day and progress updates after each session. Board & Train is a two-week residential program with multiple daily one-to-one sessions, a customized plan from day one, regular progress updates and parent handoff coaching at pickup.

What the programs cover

Published targets for Play & Train are basic obedience and manners (sit, stay, down, leave it, polite greetings), loose-leash walking, reliable recall, confidence building for anxious, reactive or undersocialized dogs, and impulse control. Board & Train adds an obedience foundation for puppies, reactivity and leash behavior, destructive or anxious behavior, and advanced obedience and off-leash skills.

Method

The site states positive reinforcement only, with programs “tailored to your dog’s personality and your specific goals” and progress updates every session. Every dog has to pass a temperament test before joining daycare.
