About Standing Water Kennels

What they offer

Standing Water Kennels describes itself as a dog boarding and training facility in Commerce, Oklahoma, offering "boarding, obedience, & hunting dog training". Its basic obedience program runs a minimum of 4 weeks and works on sit, here, heel and place, with additional commands by request.

Hunting dogs

The starter hunting dog program is a minimum of three months for upland dogs and 4 months for waterfowl dogs, for dogs 6 months and older, and builds retrieving confidence with force fetch, entry water work and formal obedience. An advanced hunting program is personalized for a hunting dog, hunt test or other goals, with its length set by the dog's learning speed.

How it works

The home page says training is adjusted to each dog's pace, and asks owners to come twice a month to learn the commands and the training process, with weekly visits encouraged. Boarding dogs stay in covered 10×5 ft runs with yard time at least twice a day.
