State of Mind Canine in Winter Springs

State of Mind Canine is a Winter Springs dog training business owned by Alessandro Ferri, a Florida native with four dogs of his own. He specializes in on- and off-leash obedience and a wide range of behavior challenges from anxiety to aggression, and says he spent more than a decade volunteering for shelters and fostering for rescues before training, then traveled across the USA to learn through seminars, shadowing and apprenticing.

Services

Private lessons are a time-based program where owners train hands-on with guidance. Bootcamps come in several levels; they are results-based, with the training done for the owner, plus support during and after. Puppy training gives families a head start before issues develop. Dogs learn sit, stay, down, place, come, heel and leave it, calm behavior around distractions, and how to work through fear and anxiety.

Philosophy

Alessandro aims to identify the root cause of each problem, weighing a dog's behavior (what it thinks and feels) equally with obedience, in a program that is "clear, fair, and results-oriented."
