About Sycamore Lane Kennels

About

Sycamore Lane Kennels sits on a farm in Lodi and offers boarding, daycare, grooming and training. Its climate-controlled, matted training building hosts weekly classes, and the dog sports park on the same grounds has a competition dock and pool and a turfed arena.

Classes

Basic obedience runs as an owners-only orientation followed by six training sessions, teaching sits and sit-stays, downs and down-stays, heeling with turns and recalls on a 6-foot and 30-foot line, with up to 12 dogs per class. Graduates can take intermediate obedience twice a year, with the option of the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Weekly conformation classes cover ring procedure, gait and table training. The sports park lists agility, flyball, barn hunt, nose work, trick dog and dock diving classes, and the local kennel club holds obedience and rally events on the grounds.
