About The Barkitect

About

The Barkitect is a single-location, family-owned training business on a 55-acre farm in Thurmont, about 20 minutes from downtown Frederick. Trainer Chloe Lorenz has more than a decade of hands-on experience, and the team brings a combined 30 years to LIMA-based training.

Programs

Board and train dogs live with the trainer in the family home. Day school, the most popular program, is a full day of training, exercise and enrichment, and customized private lessons give weekly check-ins on progress. The team works on leash pulling, jumping, hyperactivity, barking, food aggression, crate training, off-leash reliability, socialization, barrier frustration, impulse control and generalized anxiety. Boarding and daycare are also available.
