We’ve been working with Emily at Akron Dog Wizard since our pup, Kaiya, was just 10 weeks old (she’s now 7 months), and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Emily has been patient, kind, and incredibly caring with Kaya from day one.

She’s taught Kaiya all her standard commands with clear, consistent training, and she’s been just as thorough and patient with us as owners—guiding us every step of the way. Emily is always available to answer questions, big or small, and her instruction has given us so much confidence in working with our dog.

We had a wonderful experience working with Beth to help our two three-year-old pups learn some much-needed manners. From the very beginning, Beth impressed us with her gentle, loving approach and her natural connection with animals. She took the time to understand each dog's personality and tailored her training accordingly, creating a calm and positive environment that our pups responded to immediately.

Beth's style is patient, encouraging, and incredibly effective. We noticed real improvements not only in their behavior but also in how they listened and interacted with us. It's clear that she truly cares about the animals she works with, and her passion shines through in every session.

We were fortunate enough to work with Beth and she is truly top notch. Off the rip, you can tell Beth has a true love for animals and a wealth of dog psychology and dog training knowledge and expertise.

Beth broke down the basics and the methodology of her training into very easy and repeatable actions. She’s fun, professional, always on time, an excellent communicator, and I would trust her with any dog on the planet.

It’s overwhelming picking a trainer and a route for a puppy but I would highly recommend The Dog Wizard.

To put it all in context. I went from having a dog who would jump and bark and fly around like a possessed demon to a dog who sat calmly in Lowes today as kids, workers, carts, and everything passed right by us. The same dog who would pull my shoulder out of socket on a leash can now walk on my hip in a heel. It’s wild what they can accomplish in the 5 training sessions.

I had a great experience with The Dog Wizard! Their trainer, Beth, has an incredible ability to connect with dogs and brought out the best in my puppy Luna. The Dog Wizard offers personalized, one-on-one training sessions in your home, tailored to your goals and your dog’s needs. Beth broke everything down into steps easy to understand, corrected the things I was unknowingly doing wrong, and taught me techniques to improve Luna’s behavior.

I would absolutely recommend The Dog Wizard — especially Beth — to anyone looking for personalized dog training that is effective. She made the whole experience not only educational but also enjoyable for me and Luna.
