A sport and skills facility
The Gated Dock, owned by Marie Buckingham, offers a wide range of instruction: dock diving/jumping (DockDogs, NADD, UAD), obedience, puppy, conformation, and Therapy Dog classes, plus Fast Cat and rat hunt. It also provides canine hydrotherapy and therapy swims for rehabilitation. The facility runs an outdoor pool in Shelby and an indoor pool in Galion for year-round work.

Fun and effective classes! My dog did very well in both K9 Good Citizen and Therapy Dog classes. Very nice to go out on sites to practice needed skills. I would highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing experience here with my dog thanks to Marie. My dog was so excited to be here and grew to be Marie’s friend very quickly once he realized she’s helping him get to the fun swimming stuff! I’m already excited to come back. The facility itself is huge, has an indoor heated pool and outdoor pool. Nothing but great things, if you’re on the fence i promise you won’t be let down.
Marie Buckingham is a wonderful trainer and is very welcoming to newcomers. Her events are always fun and well attended. There are many classes offered, as well as many opportunities to allow your dog(s) to excel. Highly recommend The Gated Dock (indoor and outdoor) for canine fun!!!
First time doing any Dock Dog intro with my husband and our 10 mos old Golden Retriever "Ducky".
Marie was awesome! She gave clear instructions and guidance and much to our delight…..Ducky loves it!

Looking to get into dock diving and found TGD, my lab had her 1st lesson yesterday. She Absolutely loved it, we go back next month for another lesson and the best part is it’s inside perfect for Ohio winters. Looking forward to going back soon.
