About The Puppy Academy

What they offer

The Puppy Academy is a puppy training school on Pacific Coast Highway in Hermosa Beach, with its own parking lot. It describes itself as the first drop-off, all-day puppy training school of its kind in the United States, aimed at new and first-time puppy parents.

How the school works

Puppies are dropped off for structured, school-style training sessions through the day, practicing skills through repetition, routine and guided learning. Over the semester the school coaches owners through private lessons so the work carries on at home.

Online school

For families outside the area, an online program covers obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, come, place, crate and heel, with a video library on biting, chewing, crate training, barking, socialization and calm greetings, and coaching sessions.

Good to know

The campus is open weekdays. Consultations are free and can be booked through the site.
