Wasatch Peak Dog Training is based at 1168 West Excalibur Wy in West Haven and trains dogs across Northern Utah communities from Brigham City and Logan to Ogden, Layton and Salt Lake City. The team says it tailors training techniques to each dog's needs, building trust and communication, and uses socialization techniques and positive reinforcement strategies to modify behavior.

Programs

Every client starts with a free consultation and behavioral assessment. Puppy training helps new owners through an often overwhelming stage. The 9 Week DIY program suits owners who want a hands-on role in their dog's training. Board & Train is a fast-track option where the dog lives with the trainers for 3-4 weeks. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The team

Kyle and his wife Brooke describe rescuing a German Shepherd and adding a Great Pyrenees before seeking help from a professional trainer. The experience led Kyle to intern and become a trainer, and he now helps dogs with leash pulling, jumping, anxiety, destructive behavior, aggression, focus problems and impulse control.
