About Westchester K-9

Westchester K-9 states on its own site that it has been training since 1998, which makes it one of the longest-running operations in the county. Its address is on Palmer Avenue in Larchmont, while the site itself sells a come-to-you model.

Programs

Four training products are published: puppy training, board and train, private dog training, and group classes. Doggy daycare runs alongside them. The site makes a point of taking fewer dogs than most facilities on the reasoning that this means more training time per dog.

What it says it fixes

The problem list is domestic and specific – jumping, pulling, biting, house accidents, and dogs that simply do not listen. The written outcomes are equally concrete: walking calmly past an oncoming mail carrier, holding a place command while a visitor knocks, and coming when called from the yard.

Coverage

The site names Westchester, Putnam, the Bronx, New York City and parts of Connecticut. That is a large radius, so ask about travel when you call.
