Wise Tails Academy is an Austin dog training and behavior modification business working with any breed, age or size. The academy builds its work around changing the relationship between dog and owner, coaching owners to become calm, assertive leaders through fair and effective training methods. Each dog starts with a consultation and evaluation, followed by a training plan built around its age, temperament and training level. Private lessons are taught by trainer Cassandra Collins.

Programs

Board and train is the academy's main program: selected dogs live with the trainer in her home as one of her own dogs while they learn essential commands, and follow-up lessons teach owners how to maintain the training. There is an average six-week waiting list. Private lessons have a very limited number of openings. The Puppy Program, for puppies 8-16 weeks old, runs the first two weeks of every month and covers safe socialization, potty training, crate training and clicker conditioning, and graduates get 20% off board and train programs.
