Balanced training in Austin

Wishbone Canine Services is an Austin dog training business serving the Greater Austin area, founded by head trainer Gabby Reed. Gabby has worked with dogs since October 2019, starting as a volunteer, and became a certified trainer in June 2021. She is a balanced trainer, combining reward-based techniques to reinforce desirable behaviors with aversive tools to prevent unwanted ones. The company is built around her rescue dog Wish, adopted from the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, and keeps kennel space minimal to maximize time with each trainee.

Programs

On-leash private lesson programs come in three tiers: a Basic 5-lesson package, an Intermediate 7-lesson package and an Advanced Off-Leash 9-lesson package. Day train programs run 4 days over 2 weeks or 6 days over 3 weeks. Board and train is offered as 2-, 3- or 4-week programs. Boarding in the trainer's home is $85 per day for crate-trained dogs, by email booking. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
