So much fun. My cattle dog loved this. It was so cool to see her instincts kick in. Tonya is great.

I wanted to support a small business but I just can’t. I took my dog here for herding lessons and although I was told my dog would be able to move up to a larger space once she’s trained, she was herding the sheep in a small barn for an hour and the sheep were clearly distressed. It was heartbreaking to watch.

Please figure out how you train herding dogs so that the sheep aren’t distressed. I couldn’t imagine the sheep going through that for multiple hours a week.

She also whips her stick around and hit my dog, I’m sure on accident, but come on.

Waste of time and money. From the website it sounds like she gets in the pen with your dog and helps guide them so they can learn how to heard sheep. Nope, she was in there for the first 10 minutes and didn't really do much other than hit the sheep anytime they didn't behave how she wanted them too. Then the next ten minutes she had me in the pen and told me to guide my dog to heard the sheep, which i clearly don't know how to do, which is why I came here in the first place so someone else could train my dog. She gave no instructions for me while in pen with my dog and sheep! Both my dog and I were clueless attempting to herd sheep without any guidance. Scheduling was a nightmare, and then when we got to the farm, there was another person and her dog being trained as well and we were taking turns. I was under the impression this would be a private lesson, which i wanted because my dog gets very timid around other dogs. Then to top it all off the session was suppose to be an hour but only lasted 40mins. Completed waste of time and money.

I suggest that anyone looking to do serious herding lessons to go elsewhere. But if you really want to go train here then I hope you like seeing sheep being smacked in the head for not moving the way that the trainer wants Oh, and you will be encouraged to hit sheep too.

You won't learn much for fifty bucks for forty minutes of class time. And that's assuming you get forty minutes. The trainer doesn't explain why they're doing this or explain what is going when you're taking the class.

And they're a byb GSD which the world doesn't need another one. None of their dogs from their website are in the OFA database. If you really want a GSD puppy then look elsewhere.
