About Tucker Pup’s Dog Training Center

Training inside a West Loop pet resort

Tucker Pup's Pet Resort describes itself as "Chicago's leading provider of dog boarding, training, grooming, daycare, and retail items," working from a facility the site calls "impeccably clean" with "an unparalleled staff and cutting-edge technology." On the training side it states: "We have delivered expert dog training in Chicago since 2006, with undeniable results."

Programs

Training runs either at the client's home or at the training facility in the West Loop / Fulton Market District. The published programs include the Downtown Dog Training Program, aimed squarely at the "challenges of living downtown"; the Puppy Starter Program, which the site says helps "with potty training, crate training, socialization, and more"; dropoff dog training, where the dog is trained at the facility; puppy training classes and puppy socialization; and private lessons. A training calendar is published on the site, and booking, reservation changes and new customer forms are all handled online.

Method in their own words

"Our certified trainers use positive reinforcement techniques tailored to your dog's behaviors and needs." Ask which body certifies the trainers.

Worth knowing

Because training sits inside a full-service resort, a dog can move between daycare, boarding, grooming and training at one site — useful for downtown owners consolidating care. The site states it is rated 4.9 out of 5 stars based on 1,089 Google reviews, and publishes respiratory illness strategies and a facility tour.
