About The Dog Wizard Chattanooga

The Dog Wizard Chattanooga is a franchise location at 1853 Polk Street, open by appointment six days a week including Saturday, and serving Chattanooga, East Ridge, Hixson, Ooltewah, Red Bank, Ringgold and Signal Mountain according to its own location page.

How the work is structured

The location page lists board and train, private lessons, group classes, day training and puppy programs, and says the format can be "in-home, mobile, or facility-based". Every route starts with a free evaluation, and the site says lifetime support follows graduation.

What they publish working on

The published behavior list is specific: puppies, basic obedience, aggression, reactivity, separation anxiety, leash pulling and jumping, plus resource guarding, socialization and a dedicated adopted/rescue dog program. Problem-solving covers barking, chewing, begging, counter surfing, digging, play biting, marking, door bolting and housebreaking. Boarding, daycare and grooming are listed as additional services at the same location.

Who runs it

Trainers are named with their credentials. Lauren Hayes is listed as co-owner and Director of Operations, certified with the AKC as a Canine Good Citizen evaluator and as a Therapy Pet Evaluator through Therapy Pets Unlimited; the site says she and her husband John ran a home-based rescue rehabilitating abandoned dogs before the training business. Keila Lyons is listed as a trainer with roughly fifteen years handling dogs, a Certified Dog Trainer qualification from Animal Behavior College, AKC evaluator status and Canine CPR and First Aid certification.

What they say about method

The site describes its trainers as "certified balanced trainers".

Note that the Polk Street building houses more than one dog-training business, so confirm the name when you arrive.
