About Barkers Anonymous Boutique and Training

Barkers Anonymous is a Hendersonville pet boutique at 401 Kanuga Road with a training facility on the same site, open Monday to Saturday 10 to 6 and Sunday 12 to 5. A client quoted on its own page puts the arrangement plainly: "her training facility is on site".

The training menu

Three things are published. Positive reinforcement group classes run from puppy classes through advanced training. Private training sessions give one-to-one attention on a specific behavior problem or goal. Behavioral consultations are for complex cases, where the trainers run an assessment and write a behavior modification plan aimed at the underlying cause.

The classes themselves

The published class list includes a puppy course introducing basic cues and polite behavior with controlled socialization; an Over 6 Months Foundations class for beginners; two levels of Canine Good Citizen preparation, with an AKC certificate at the end; a Tricks class working toward AKC Trick Dog titles; and Fitness Fundamentals, a conditioning class taught by Kate Riley, KPA CTP, CCFT.

Who teaches

The lead trainer is named on the site as Comora Tolliver, KPA-CTP. The business's stated approach throughout is positive reinforcement and building a foundation of skills that lasts.
