About Dog Training Pluto’s Way

Dog Training Pluto's Way works from West English Road in High Point. It is a positive reinforcement practice, and it makes an unusually specific claim about its place in the local market: that it is the only positive reinforcement training facility in the Triad that trains dogs with severe behavior challenges, aggression, reactivity and resource guarding.

How they train

The business publishes the mechanics of its method rather than a slogan. There are, it says, three ways animals learn – shaping, luring and capturing behavior – and it uses a variety of strategies and tools because every dog learns differently. Its motto, published as such, is that dogs learn because they love you.

Programs

Three formats are sold. In Home Training is aimed at problems that happen inside the house. Private Classes are built as a program tailored to the individual dog. Board and Train is described as extensive, intense one-to-one work, and the business is upfront that availability for it is limited.

Who is behind it

Alicia is named on the site as the trainer, and a second trainer, Andrew, is named in the testimonials the business publishes. Those testimonials describe multi-dog households and resource-guarding cases worked through to a normal home life.
