About Golden Paws Dog Training

Golden Paws Dog Training operates from 71 Holly Ridge Road in Pittsboro and trades as Golden Paws Dog Training and Fitness. Its stated specialties are canine behavior and socialization together with strength, conditioning and fitness – a combination that is uncommon among the training businesses in this area.

Approach

The business is explicit that it uses only force-free techniques and that the emphasis is on the dog and the owner enjoying the work. Its stated mission is helping owners communicate with and understand their dogs and build a relationship founded on trust. It rejects a one-size-fits-all method in favor of observing both dog and person, using that observation to motivate the dog and build the owner's confidence.

How it is sold

The structure is a standard training package plus optional add-ons. The add-on classes are described as focused sessions that target specific behaviors and expand a dog's real-world skills without committing to a separate multi-week course – a useful shape for owners who want one particular problem addressed.

Classes

The published class list runs to private lessons, Puppy Play, PoP sessions, Agility for Fun, Nosework, Basic Obedience and Intermediate Obedience. Classes and packages are booked and paid for through the site.
