About Rae-Zor Grooming Boarding Daycare

Sanford boarding and training

Rae-Zor Grooming Boarding Daycare at 100 Animal Avenue in Sanford offers grooming, boarding, daycare, a cat retreat and canine strength and conditioning, along with a dog training program.

Training

The site lists a la carte sessions, training packages and group classes, taught by trainers it describes as licensed, in a science-based, force-free setting. Training covers basic and advanced cues such as focus, sit, down, settle, stay, leave it, loose-leash walking and recall, plus games and enrichment. Day training sessions help with socialization, and trainers guide owners on behavioral issues.

Getting started

Each dog needs a training evaluation form, after which the trainer sets up an evaluation appointment on a weekday afternoon. Dogs doing day training stay at least four hours on the first visit to adjust to the facility.

What to ask

Ask whether day training or one-on-one sessions suit your dog and what the vaccination requirements are.
