About Southport Dog
Southport Dog LLC is at 1222 N Howe St in Southport, and it is two businesses on one site: a training program and a set of dedicated dog parks. Its own about text explains where it came from – the business says it has "shifted our focus from training police working dogs and rescue dogs to nurturing the bond between civilian owners and their beloved pets".
Classes
Three published options. A puppy group class, a four-week course at $450, for puppies roughly four to ten months, running Wednesday or Tuesday evenings 6pm to 8pm. Obedience 101 and 102 group classes, a four-week course at $500, for owners "looking to improve your canine companion's obedience skills". And private one-on-one sessions at $150 per session, "a program developed for you and your dog to target specific concerns". The published curriculum runs "from potty training to basic commands, socialization to leash manners", with the aim of "creating well-rounded and socialized dogs who can behave confidently in any situation".
The dog parks
The site publishes separate parks for small and large dogs, and treats them as part of the offer rather than an extra – the business describes itself as "offering a variety of training classes and fun activities in our dedicated dog parks".
Booking
Class dates are published with start dates, and the site asks owners to call or email with questions about availability.
Who it’s best for
Best for a Southport or Oak Island owner who wants group classes with published prices and somewhere to practice afterwards.
