About Pro Canine Coaching & Pet Care Services

Who they are

Pro Canine Coaching is a dog training, walking and pet sitting service covering Columbia County, New York. It is run by Annie, who introduces herself on the site as "your local pro-dog dog pro" and puts her time in the pet care industry at over a decade — grooming, managing dog play groups, pet sitting and dog walking before the training practice. She is a CPDT-KA certified dog trainer and a certified Family Dog Mediator.

Training

The training is positive-reinforcement based and, in the site's words, customized to your dog and your household. Two formats are published: private lessons, and day training in your home. Day training is the one that matters for a household where nobody is free in the evenings — the trainer works with the dog during the day and the owner picks up the skills afterwards. There is a free consultation as the entry point, plus an FAQ and a blog.

Dog walking

The walking service is described across a range rather than as one product: short walks around the neighborhood at one end, long decompression walks in nature at the other. The stated purpose is exercise and enrichment, which puts it closer to the training side of the business than to a simple potty break.

Pet sitting

Drop-in visits keep pets in their own home while the owner is away. The published client accounts describe daily updates with photographs, thoroughness over care instructions, and small extras like bringing packages in. One account is from a cat owner, so the sitting side is not dog-only.

Method and interests

The site is consistent that the aim is enhancing the lives of dogs and their people through positive-reinforcement training. Annie's own dog, Acorn, takes agility classes, and the site mentions local trails as the other place you will find them.

Getting started

Everything routes through the free consultation. Contact is by the form on the site or by email to Annie.
