About Glynevian Gundogs — Field & Obedience Training

Glynevian offers residential training in obedience and field work for puppies and adult dogs, run from a farm in Stanfordville. The published services are consultation, home training and a residential board-and-train with a two-week minimum.

Focus

Much of the training is field sports – the site's own framing is wingshooting work – but it states plainly that it tailors one-to-one training for working field dogs, family pets "and everything in between", with the aim of a companion dog that suits the owner's life.

The farm is at 88 Layton Road in Stanfordville, in what the site calls one of the hubs of wingshooting in the United States, and the practice serves the Hudson Valley and beyond. The trainer is named on the site as John Carpenter, who it says has been breeding and training Labrador Retrievers for over ten years.
