About Bark Knight Canine Services

Bark Knight Canine Services is a dog trainer based in Elmira. Its site carries the town in the page title itself, and the contact block gives Elmira, NY as the location with no street address, so this is a trainer who travels to the client rather than one who runs a facility.

Method

The stated premise is that no two dogs need the same program: the site opens on the idea that pets each have their own traits and mannerisms and therefore require their own specialized training. The emphasis is as much on the owner as the dog, with the site saying the focus is not only on training the pet but on teaching the owner to communicate with it effectively, and describing the techniques as ones that should make life together happier rather than more regimented.

Services

The published list is puppy training, basic obedience training, advanced obedience training, and problem behavior modification, covering everything from first manners to more complex behavioral issues. Work starts with an initial in-home consultation, listed at one hour, after which in-person training sessions are described as made to fit the dog. Alongside training the business also offers dog walking and in-home pet sitting; those are care services rather than training, and are listed here only because the business publishes them.

Availability

The trainer describes himself as available to answer questions and provide support between sessions rather than only during them. The site notes he is a veteran running his own business.
