About Custom Canine Unlimited Columbus

About

This is the Columbus branch of Custom Canine Unlimited, which runs its headquarters in Gainesville and further locations in Florida. The Columbus page states the business is "centered on professional dog training based on the specific needs of our clients" and that it develops programs according to the end goal.

Training

Four program families are published for Columbus. Personal dog training covers aggressive and highly reactive pets as well as competition and companion work. Board and train is described as the option for dogs needing more intensive work, open to all ages and sizes subject to vaccinations and a clearance from the kennel master. Law enforcement training covers patrol, decoy, tracking and the detection of drugs, explosives and electronic devices, and military working dog training is listed separately.

How they work

The published approach is individualized: the site says its experts work to identify each dog's barriers to learning and help the dog through the program using positive reinforcement. Curriculum, a written manual, record keeping and practical field testing are described as fixed parts of every course.

Also offered

Grooming is available at the Columbus location, from full grooming to nail clipping, ear cleaning and basic washing and drying. The site also publishes veteran education benefits it accepts for its handler courses.
