About My Dog Rules K9 Academy LLC

What they do

My Dog Rules K9 Academy LLC trains “dog training, obedience, and behavior modification in Macon, Ga. Easily accessible to all of Middle Georgia”. The site says the academy “trains dogs and their owners and offers lifetime support for every dog that comes through our doors”.

The approach

It draws a line between obedience and what it actually sells: “This is more than obedience. We work on your dogs state of mind to eliminate hyperactivity, anxiety, and reactivity to other dogs and people.” The audience it addresses directly is owners who have already tried other programs without results, or who have been told their dog is “beyond help”.

Programs

Private sessions are described as the budget-friendly option and a good fit for puppies and for dogs with less serious issues – one-on-one instruction on basics like leash pulling and jumping. The live-in program puts the dog in the trainer's home for a set period so it meets real situations and learns to behave as a member of a household. Boarding is offered as a separate service for dogs that have already completed a two-week or longer training program, so they stay in a structured environment while their owners are away.
