About Have A Great Dog

Who runs it

The About page names Carol Underwood as owner and head trainer and says she has been professionally involved with dogs for over 20 years. It says Have a Great Dog has been helping dogs and their humans since 2007, and the site footer lists CGC Evaluator #98199.

Programs

The site offers two routes: training your dog yourself through private lessons, or having the business train your dog through its camps. Its Camp Great Dog program is a 3-4 week board-and-train covering manners, handling and socialization, with sit, leash walking, come, wait, down and place, playtime, and post-camp lessons scheduled within three weeks of the dog going home. Dogs in its care live with their trainer. Consultations are offered as an optional first step.

Beyond manners

The About page mentions help with therapy dog work, competitive obedience, nose work, acting and dock diving, and with preparing dogs for hiking, camping or paddle boarding on the Upstate's lakes. Home-style boarding is also available, and training clients may get a refresher session during a stay.
