About Sunpaws Pet Services LLC

Who trains here

The About page credits Frances Dauster as the instructor and lists credentials including IAABC Accredited Dog Trainer, NADOI certification and a CPDT-KA held from 2001 to 2016, and says she has been an instructor for Family Dog Obedience Training since 1998.

How the training works

The home page describes group classes that run one hour a week for 4 weeks, in "2000 square feet of climate-controlled training space", limited to four dog/handler teams per class so there is individual coaching. There are separate puppy and adult groups, plus individual puppy sessions for troubleshooting. The Training page says the puppy class focuses on socialization, name recognition and attention, and the adult class on attention and ignoring the distraction of other dogs. The site menu also lists private and in-home lessons, board & train, Barn Hunt and boarding.

Good to know

The About page is firmly reward-based and argues against choke, prong and shock collars. The home page notes the facility sits down a long driveway that cannot be seen from the road.
