C3 K9 Solutions is Chivon Winter's practice. Its own site states that it serves the Syracuse area and Onondaga, Oswego and Madison counties, and its Facebook page says it has been helping people with their dogs since 2009.

Who the site is written for

More than most local trainers, C3 K9 writes to the owner rather than about the dog. The problems it lists are phrased as owners speak them: my dog takes off and I am terrified they will be hit by a car, my dog pulls so hard on walks that someone will get hurt, my dog has no manners and I dread people coming over, other trainers did not help and I do not know what else to do, he is so stressed and anxious that I do not know if I am giving him the life he needs, I am always correcting my dog and it is taking the joy out of owning one.

What it promises

The stated goal is clarity, control and a better way forward, so that owner and dog can enjoy each other again. The site's four commitments are happiness, less stress, empathy for the owner's situation, and being heard and treated without judgment.

Standing locally

Another Central New York trainer describes Chivon on their own site as someone she has worked with professionally, in both pet obedience and protection work, and says she puts the needs of the dog above everything else. That is a peer reference rather than a credential.
