About Operation New Leash Wichita
What they offer
Operation New Leash Wichita (ONL Wichita) is the Wichita location of a veteran-focused dog training program. Every trainer families work with is a military veteran. It offers board and train, puppy day school, day school and in-home private lessons, and runs a grooming salon in Augusta.
Programs
The training page describes Day School, where dogs train with the team during scheduled daytime sessions and then go home, in a puppy version (up to nine months) and an adult version. Board & Train takes place in a selected veteran trainer's home, with daily obedience and behavior work and an owner handoff at the end. Private lessons happen in your home and cover leash walking, recall, place, boundaries and manners, puppy routines and behavior support.
What they work on
The site lists leash walking, recall and reliability, household behavior such as place, thresholds and visitor manners, puppy foundations, and structured help for reactivity, fear, guarding and overarousal.
About the team
The about page introduces Scott Sexton, who served six years on active duty in the Army, including three as a combat engineer K9 handler working with specialized search dogs. The service area page covers the Wichita metro and South Central Kansas, with regional board-and-train placements considered by availability.
