About SitStay Dog Training

What they offer

SitStay Dog Training runs a training center at 1650 S Meridian in Wichita, in a climate-controlled, matted building. The home page lists obedience classes for pet owners, competitive obedience and rally, nosework, therapy dog and Canine Good Citizen testing, private lessons and behavior modification sessions.

Obedience classes

The obedience page describes a Saturday puppy class for puppies six months or younger, a seven-week Basic class that every new dog starts in (sit, down, stand, come, leave it, stay and more, with positive reinforcement as the primary technique), a six-week Intermediate class, and an invitation-only Advanced class that works on off leash work, formal heeling and recalls. The class schedule page also lists a confidence building class, Rally Level I, tricks and nosework.

Behavior work

The behavior modification page describes six weekly half-hour private lessons for dogs that bark at bicycles, lunge at other dogs or cower around strangers. The schedule page adds private classes for fearful or reactive dogs and in-home behavior modification, and asks you to call to arrange them.

Competition

The competitive class page says rally classes for AKC and UKC levels run in three- or six-week sessions, and that instructors attend a student's first trial for support.
