About Giffy dog

Positive reinforcement classes in Roseville

Giffy dog (pronounced "Jiffy") is a positive reinforcement training business with classes at 696 County Road B West in Roseville, MN, on Sundays and Mondays. Owner and trainer Cheryl Gfrerer, KPA-CTP, MA, has worked with dogs extensively since 2000, starting as a rescue foster; she stopped counting fosters in 2012 at 250. She completed the Karen Pryor Academy program in 2015.

Classes

Classes are kept very small and meet for 45 minutes. New Beginnings, a bonding and confidence-building class for new companions and timid dogs, is open enrollment. Clicker Foundations follows the Karen Pryor curriculum for recall, loose leash walking, door waits, settling, sit and leave it, and Advanced Clicker Training tackles topics such as behavior chains and cooperative care. Out & About works on leash skills around distractions. Multi-week classes are $140 for 4 weeks or $180 for 6 weeks, a one-time socialization class is $60, and a shy-dog social hour is $50.

Other services

Giffy also offers in-person and virtual private consultations and seminars designed for groups.
