About Canine Coach Academy
What they offer
Canine Coach Academy is a Centennial dog trainer run by Mikayla, whose program centers on an intensive two- to three-week board and train and individualized private lessons. Its mission is a relationship built on trust, clear communication and leadership between owner and dog.
Board and train
The board and train program includes structured training sessions, monitored playtime with other dogs, regular progress updates and a customized plan. It can focus on basic obedience and impulse control (door, food bowl and crate stays), advanced off-leash obedience with an e-collar, or behavior modification for dog reactivity and resource guarding. Every program ends with a 90-minute go-home lesson, two follow-up lessons after the dog returns home and lifetime trainer support, and walking tools and a place cot are included. The site lists $3,000 to $4,200 for pups over four months.
About the trainer
The about page describes Mikayla's path into balanced training with her first German Shepherd, her work in schutzhund, scent work and dock diving, and fostering German Shepherds and Malinois through a Front Range rescue.
