About The Good Dog Co.
Positive training in the Twin Cities
The Good Dog Co. is a Twin Cities dog training business owned by Kelsey Smedley, BA, CACTP, a dog trainer and behavior consultant. Her services range from simple puppy obedience to severe behavioral issues, and she also has experience as a VTA and a special interest in canine nutrition and gut health. Her own Border Collie rescue, Echo, who has a bite history, is the reason she learned about canine behavior.
Classes and services
The Good Dog Co. uses only positive reinforcement in its classes, which take place at Lakeville Family Pet Clinic. Options include puppy obedience, Level 1 obedience, obedience and fear and aggression work, and consultations begin with an assessment. Group classes suit dogs already fairly comfortable around other dogs, and reactive or easily overwhelmed dogs are steered toward other options. Dogs of any age can start the Level 1 course.
