About Canine Chris Dog Training
Balanced training in the Minneapolis area
Canine Chris Dog Training is owned by trainer Chris Yang, who works across the greater Minneapolis area. He writes that his interest began with his own American Staffordshire Terrier, Beau, whose reactivity led him to research, seek help and shadow local trainers, and ultimately to e-collar training. The business describes balanced training focused on "biological fulfillment," clear communication, and a blend of rewards such as play, freedom and affection, using prong collars, e-collars, treats and play as needed.
Services and prices
A 30-minute phone consultation is $40. In-home private sessions of 60 to 120 minutes are $185, or $500 for three and $825 for five, with call and text check-ins between sessions. The three-week Dog Boarding and Training program is $2,450, including an e-collar, and covers walking nicely, basic obedience, recall, off-leash reliability, house manners, jumping, counter surfing, reactivity, barking and nipping, ending with a Go Home Session; a $200 deposit holds a spot. Structured boarding is $60 a day for one dog or $100 for two, mainly for established clients.
What to ask
Ask whether your dog is a good fit for the board and train and how the e-collar handoff works at home.
