About Collier Kennels

Training in Brookhaven

Collier Kennels is a dog boarding, training and breeding kennel whose home page says it is now in Brookhaven, Mississippi. It offers bird dog training, obedience training, snake avoidance training and short- and extended-stay boarding, and it sells started and finished bird dogs, retrievers and Labrador and Belgian Malinois puppies.

Bird dog and obedience work

The training page says bird dog training can cover obedience, hunting, pointing, retrieving, rattlesnake avoidance or refresher training before the season, and that owner James Collier uses positive motivational training and does not use a loud voice, hit or strike any dog. Obedience training focuses on positive reinforcement, from housebreaking to specialized programs for problem dogs, and private obedience sessions can be scheduled at the kennels or at the client's home.
