About Hounds with Halos LLC

A handler-first approach

Hounds With Halos is a dog training business in Hattieville led by its founder and lead trainer, Sonya Weatherall. Its About page sums up the philosophy as "Teach the human first": lasting change comes from looking at the whole relationship, including the handler's timing, body language, consistency and expectations, rather than correcting a dog over and over again.

What it offers

The About page lists private dog training built around the dog, the handler and the environment they live in; service dog development paired with handler development; therapy dog development that prepares dogs and handlers for work in community settings; and behavior and relationship coaching. The home page says it works with individuals, families, young handlers and future service teams.
