What they offer

Animal Magnetism is owned and run in Tucson by Vanya Moreno, who holds a Ph.D. in animal behavior. She provides private in-home lessons, puppy kindergarten, basic obedience classes and rattlesnake and toad avoidance training, which can be done at her location or yours. Group classes are held at the Paws Canine Co-Lab on River Road.

Classes

Puppy class is for puppies from 6 weeks to 6 months and runs one hour a week for 6 weeks, covering bite inhibition, socialization with people and dogs, house training, chewing and handling, plus basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come and leave it. Basic class is for dogs from 6 months and runs 45 minutes a week for 8 weeks, adding house manners, loose-leash walking and techniques for problem behaviors like barking and jumping.

About the trainer

The about page says she has worked in pet dog and cat behavior since 1997, was certified as an expert witness on dog behavior for the Arizona Superior Court, and gives educational seminars for veterinary staff around Tucson.
