About The Pawsitive Paw LLC

Holistic, relationship-based training in Grants Pass

The Pawsitive Paw is a Grants Pass dog training and boarding business owned by Courtney, who grew up in Southern Oregon and has worked in veterinary clinics, the Humane Society, an animal shelter, doggie daycare, boarding and training. Her approach is holistic, looking at the dog as a whole, with a large emphasis on relationship, the dog's unique genetics and purpose. She believes exposure to real-life situations within a system of trust, respect and structure helps dogs form neutral associations with the world.

Services

Obedience training teaches owners how to layer obedience into their lifestyle for a calmer dog. Behavior modification packages are customized to each dog and cover muzzle conditioning, reactivity, anxiety, mild aggression and management. Positive socialization gives dogs appropriate playmates in neutral interactions. Customized Board & Train programs for dogs over 6 months teach sit and down with stays, the place command, heel, polite thresholds, waiting for food and crate training, ending with a two-hour handoff session. Structured walks and hikes build leash manners and engagement.
