About Perfect Pack Dog Training

Pet, sport and police K9 training near Grants Pass

Perfect Pack Dog Training is run by trainer Emma Delacruz, who specializes in dog training, behavior problem solving and rehabilitation for family pets, high-energy dogs and driven working or sport prospects. She serves the Rogue Valley, including Grants Pass, Medford, Ashland and Central Point, and works from a 46-acre property just outside Grants Pass. Emma describes over seven years of experience in animal care, including work as a lead trainer at a busy facility, and two six-month apprenticeships with dog trainers and rescue groups.

Stay and train

In the board and train program, Emma works one-on-one with each dog twice a day, often in public parks and pet-friendly stores to build focus around distractions. Common goals include basic obedience, loose-leash walking, dog aggression, socialization and building confidence in dogs with difficult pasts. Weekly group sessions cover advanced obedience, personal protection and tracking.

Working dogs

With her partner, Emma runs a breeding and training program that raises and places police K9s, and she is one of the K9 trainers for the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. Personal protection training and protection dogs are also offered.
