About Let’s Talk Dogs

What they offer

Let's Talk Dogs is the training business of Dorothy Turley, who has trained dogs since 1995 and full time since 2002. She teaches from a shared training building on 30th Avenue NE in Lacey.

Training

She uses positive, common-sense training and management techniques that are dog and human friendly, for everything from basic training to competition work and fear or aggression issues, with the goal of teaching the dog the right answer in any situation.

K9 Nose Work

Her current focus is K9 Nose Work, a scent detection activity and sport in which dog and handler learn to solve scent problems together. She offers classes, private lessons, seminars and workshops, and helps run trials and odor recognition tests. Nose work is a strong physical and mental outlet and can build a dog's confidence.
