About JH Dog Training

What they offer

JHDogTraining is a local dog trainer in Deming offering board and train programs, daily sessions and private sessions, each tailored to the dog and owner. With board and train, the dog lives in the trainer's home and works on skills, behaviors, manners and boundaries, with programs for on-leash skills such as loose-leash walking, sit and down, for off-leash work, and for puppy foundations.

How they train

The trainer describes his approach as balanced training: boundaries and structure, while making sure the dog enjoys the work with lots of rewards and fun. His motto: "It’s not always easy, but it is simple."

About the trainer

The business is run by Javier Hernandez, who says he learned to train while working with his own dog.

Getting started

Owners schedule a free consultation call to talk through their dog, lifestyle and goals, and the trainer then recommends a program.
