About Training With Play

Training in the Gallatin Valley

Training With Play LLC is a dog training business with a facility in Belgrade that offers customized training within the local Bozeman area. It describes a respectful and ethical approach focused on the relationship between dog and owner, encouraging dogs to express themselves and guiding them with a balanced training approach. Pet training for any breed and any age is its main emphasis, from obedience to basic manners.

Day training and behavior consulting

A day training program is offered, along with behavioral consulting that looks at a dog's learned behavior, genetic predispositions and individual history. Milder behavior modification is handled in-house. For persistent cases, an in-person consultation at the Belgrade facility ($250) screens dogs for a six-week immersion program with Janine, a behavior modification specialist who graduated from the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers and travels to Montana for each dog. That program costs $6,500, with a $3,000 non-refundable deposit, and Janine works with owners as well as dogs.
